    Person+of+the+week

This weeks person of the week is Junior Edison Budzar, who is currently a 3 year member of Lakewood’s Varsity baseball team. Edison pitches and plays short-stop for the Rangers so I’m sure you’ve seen him under the lights on friday nights. He is also a scholar athlete and is apart of National Honor Society. Edison is not only a baseball star but also a champ in basketball where his team The White Dwarfs, claimed the title as NIMBA champions. He is also a helping hand around the community and volunteers his generous time on the weekends to help the homeless at St.Malachi’s.

If you’ve never met Edison, he’s a wonderful kid with a big heart and bright spirit. You’ll never catch him in the halls of Lakewood High without a smile on his face!

    What are your future plans?

“Planning on attending college to major in Engineering.”

Who has inspired you and why?

“I would say that my mother inspired me the most because not only is she a wonderful figure in my life, but she paid for her own college tuition, but basically raised and supported 4 children all by herself which has inspired me to stay strong through any difficult situation and be the best I can be.”

Are you looking forward to senior year and what are you most excited for?

“I really am looking forward for next years baseball season to begin because we’ve got a solid team going. Also, all the fun senior activities that go on.”

    Any advice to the underclassmen?

“Try and maintain a high GPA because in the end you don’t want to be scrambling every night to raise it.”

Thank you for your time Edison! Tune in next year for the Person of the Week!

    Go Rangers!
