As we all know, graduation is approaching very soon. In less than 10 days the class of 2017 will walk the stage and move on to the next chapter of their lives. This is an interview with someone from the graduating class, Jessica Heben.

What are your feelings toward graduation? Are you more excited or upset go be leaving?

“It’s a little bit of both. It’s very exciting going to college but it’s going to be hard leaving all my friends and ending this chapter of my life. It’s definitely bitter-sweet.”

What was your favorite part of the last four years of high school?

“My favorite part was probably the sporting events. I loved dressing up in the theme and going with all my friends to cheer on Lakewood.”

Do you have any regrets in high school?

“My biggest regret is probably quitting the volleyball team my junior year. I loved the sport and watching the games was very hard for me. I missed it way more than I thought I would.”

What are you most looking forward to after graduating from high school?

“I’m most excited for the new freedom I’m about to get. College is a whole new ballpark and I can’t wait to see what comes next. ”

Do you have any advice for the class of 2018?

“Cherish it. It sounds cliché but your senior year really will fly by. Take it slow and make the most of your last year in high school. ”

I could not have said it any better.
