    Attention Students!  The Homecoming dance will be held on Saturday, September 30th.  This is a reminder that you need to turn in all past due textbooks or calculators to the bookroom before you can buy a ticket.  Tickets are $15 each thru September 26th and the price is $20 on September 27th & 28th and you must have the properly completed form with you at the time of purchase.  No tickets will be sold on Friday, September 29th or at the dance.

     

     

    ATTENTION SENIORS:  Free senior yearbook pictures will be taken here at LHS on Wednesday, September 27.  A signup sheet for appointments is on the wall outside B207.  Stop by and sign up soon.  ONLY PICTURES FROM PRESTIGE PHOTOGRAPHY WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE YEARBOOK, so make sure to have yours taken on this day.

     

    Come join Club Identity for our first meeting of the year. It’s this Thursday, September 21st in C219, Mr. Brookholt’s room. We will spend some time getting to know everyone and will present an overview of what we have planned for the school year. You don’t want to miss it!

     

     

    All students interested in meeting the new swim coach…there will be a meeting this Thursday after school in the cafeteria at 3:30pm.

     

     

    If you are interested in joining the Lakewood High School Women’s Gymnastics Team, please plan on attending the organizational meeting today in Lec Hall #2, at 4:00.  Additional information may be picked up in the Athletic Office.

     

     

    We continue to experience construction issues and do not want these concerns to reflect poorly on the event, so unfortunately we have to cancel Barney’s Cafe scheduled for Thursday.

     

    Next Barney’s Cafe is scheduled for November 9th in the Black Box Studio Theatre

    FRIDAY – 9/22

    URSULINE COLLEGE – 11:30 – 12:00

     Juniors and seniors are encouraged to meet with the College Representatives in the LRC.

    Students must obtain a pass from their classroom teacher or lunchroom monitors if intending to visit during class or lunch periods.

     

     

    Seniors – Ripcho Studios will be at LHS on Monday, October 2nd to take the senior panoramic picture.  We have order forms available in the new bookroom.

     

     

    Are you thinking about what you want to do after high school?  Trying to find the right career for you? The military’s ASVAB Career Exploration program offers students a no-cost, no-obligation opportunity for career exploration and education planning.  ASVAB is a service project conducted by the U.S. armed forces for the general public.  Your results are not shared with the armed forces.  Find the plan that’s right for you and signup for the ASVAB program in room B-101 or talk to your guidance counselor.  ASVAB testing is on Wednesday, October 11th.  The sign-up deadline is Friday, October 6th.

    If you are planning a career in the military, the ASVAB is the actual entrance exam for acceptance into the armed forces.
