Victoria Gregg is a senior at Lakewood High School. Her freshman year she played volleyball in the fall, then in the spring she decided to play club soccer. She is currently on the Varsity Girls Soccer Team. She enjoys spending time with her teammates and of course playing on the same field with them. “The past 3 years have been a blast. I couldn’t have asked for a better season my senior year.” This season they went 3-10-4.
On Wednesday, the eight seniors celebrated Senior night! Victoria said “I was very excited that it was one of my last games playing for Lakewood High School, and my last game on our home field. They played at home against the North Ridgeville Rangers. The game ended in a tie 0-0. In Victoria’s soccer career, at Lakewood, she has had 2 goals. She is a forward and right midfield.
“My favorite memory throughout the past three years is accidentally catching the ball in the goal vs. our rivals St. Joe’s sophomore year. I wasn’t playing goalie and we lost.” The thing I am going to miss most about this team is the feeling she gets when hearing her name get called onto the field, but even more the friends that have become family. Come out and support the girl’s team in their first playoff game on Monday October 16th, at Garfield vs. Normandy.
