    Cleveland Indians: Postseason

    Cleveland+Indians%3A+Postseason

The Indians had a terrific season with a winning record 102-60. Breaking many records during the regular season. Corey Kluber one of Cleveland’s dominating starting pitchers, pitched 2 shutout games. One was during the 22 game winning streak. Very proud of this team. Although they did not beat the Yankees they had a great overall season.

The Cleveland Indians started the postseason off against the New York Yankees on October 5th. The first two games were home at Progressive Field. We won both games. Trevor Bauer starting game one, he threw a shutout through the 5th inning. Game 2, Corey Kluber pitched and didn’t have the best game, but the team had his back on offense. We were down by 5 runs and Frankie Lindor was up with bases loaded. He took advantage of bases loaded and hit a Grand Slam! Which tied the game at 7.  After a stressful 12 innings went by, Yan Gomes hit the walk off single in the bottom of the 13th inning in Game 2.

Sadly the Indians couldn’t pull off another win against the Yankees this week. We were struggling in different areas on the field each game, one game it was pitching, than batting, and errors. On the bright side, one of the Yankees best batters Aaron Judge  was shut down by our pitching staff this series only allowing him 1 hit out of 21 at bats. We will be back and better than ever next year.
