The Class of 2019 is collecting monetary donations during 3° all of this week for “Hope for the Holidays”.  Dr. Peterson’s class is in the lead but only by a small margin over second place Ms. McQuay’s class.  Ms. Breckel & Mr. Roth’s class is in third place.  The class that raises the most money will win the first place prize of a food party of their choosing and the warm fuzzy feeling of knowing that this donation drive will help to feed 300 Lakewood families this Thanksgiving and Christmas.

To help educate others and celebrate the transgender community, Club ID & the Barnstormers will be watching the movie Boys Don’t Cry after school tomorrow in the Black Box Theater. This is our annual dinner and a movie night, so pizza, snacks, and beverages will be provided. The film will start at 3:15PM, with a brief activity to follow upon completion. The event should wrap up around 6PM. We hope to see you there!

We need all hands on deck at the Westerly tomorrow after school. Bring a friend and deliver groceries to senior citizens in the apartment building. Sign up outside the H2O office in the cafeteria.

There is a Cops 4 kids event and raffle going on where police officers take children to shop with a cop for the day. Raffle tickets and further information can be found by contacting officer Acklin in B126.

In addition, the Lakewood Police Dept is holding its annual Citizen Police Academy starting in Jan 2018. There are two spots open for an eligible junior or senior in good standing who might be interested in attending. If so, contact Officer Acklin in B126
