Person of the Week: Maggie McHugh

Maggie McHugh is a senior at Lakewood High School. She enjoys many aspects of going to school here. Such as, being a part of the swim team, attending sporting events, and even the some of the classes.
I got to talk to Maggie about many things that she likes about this school. Her responses are located below.
Q: What sports do you play?
A: “I have been swimming for 8 years, and that is the only sport I do. I swim for both the LHS team and a club team.”
Q: What is your favorite class at LHS and why?
A: “My favorite class at Lakewood was speech because it was cool. Also, I think it was the most practical class because the things we learned will be helpful in the future.”
Q: What is your favorite thing to do at Lakewood High?
A: “My favorite thing to do at LHS is attend sporting events. The football games are really fun!”
Q: What is your favorite high school memory so far?
A: “My favorite high school memory is probably Lakewood Project. It was a super unique experience. I am really glad that I got to take part in it for the past four years.”
Q: What advice would you give underclassmen?
A: “The advice that I have for underclassmen is definitely to walk on the right side of the hall. Not in the middle! And do not stop and stand in the middle of the hall.”
Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: “My future plans are to attend the University of Colorado, in Boulder, in the fall.”
Q: Are you excited to leave high school behind?
A: “Yeah, I am excited because, although high school was fun, it was also a long four years. I am super excited to start over somewhere new, meet a ton of new people, and be more independent.
