The popular and delicious restaurant, ‘Melt,’ has many customers upset and enraged after owner and founder, Matt Fish, has announced that the restaurant will be closing for a 26-day renovation starting on April 1st, 2018.

The restaurant originally opened in 2006 and has spread throughout Ohio including Akron, Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Columbus and Dayton.

Fish, has said that the goal for the restaurant will consist of a ‘new look’ and to ‘modernize’ but to keep the original look and feel. “The original location was opened on a very small budget and we only did what was necessary to get the doors open but the time is right to bring the original Melt location up to current service and guest experience expectations.”

Here are some of the things that the renovation will consist of:

    – New Melt signage on the back of the building.

    – Cosmetic updates to the interior of the bar and dining room areas.

    – Completely gutting and rebuilding / expanding the kitchen with a new floor, walls and ceiling.

    – Two new first-floor bathrooms.

    – A new host stand area.

    – A new serve station area.

    – New exterior back entrance area.

Melt’s reopening celebration of the Lakewood restaurant will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11 A.M.
