    10 Years of Gaga

    10 Years of Gaga

It has been 10 years since 6-time Grammy winner debuted her billboard charting and career launching single, “Just Dance”. Her first mark on pop culture and mainstream music launched April 8, 2008.

The song was the lead single from her first album “The Fame”–which has sold over 4.79 million copies (as of February 2018) in the United States alone. It is also the seventh best-selling digital album with 1.086 million digital copies sold.

Other hit songs from the album include “Paparazzi”, “Love Game”, and “Poker Face”. But “Just Dance” is the song that was an international success and launched the career of one of the biggest names in pop music history today.

Lady Gaga posted a video on her twitter reminiscing the song and the beginning of her career. She captioned the video with “I can’t believe it’s been ten years since the release of Just Dance. It’s very emotional and I am so grateful to little monsters for sticking by me all these years. Cheers to many more, filled with love & bravery to be yourself. I love you so so much.”

Her most recent album “Joanne” was released on 2016. This is her fifth studio album, and her fourth album to reach number one in the United States, while also reaching the top ten in over 15 territories. The international pop star named the album after her aunt that had passed away, Joanne Stefani Germanotta.

It has been a decade since we were first introduced to Lady Gaga but she has made it clear that she is definitely not going anywhere soon!
