    Beyonce Headlines Coachella

    Beyonce+Headlines+Coachella

On April 15, 2018 Beyoncé was back at it again with another show stopping, history making performance. But this time, it was at Coachella–people now referring to it as “Beychella”. Beyoncé is the first ever black women to headline Coachella.

Coachella is an Arts and Music Festival that has performances  on the weekends of April 13-15, and then later on April 20-22. The festival is held at the Empire Polo Club in the Indio, California area. The festival and music are known to people as being a very relaxed atmosphere. People attending dressed in “bohemian, hipster, free bird” clothing. But, 20 time Grammy singer demolished that idea. She had people anything but relaxed at her performance.

For the majority of her act she had a full on marching band behind her keeping up with her every move (and she did plenty of them). She sang songs from all of her albums including her most recent, “Lemonade”. She began her two-hour concert with “Run the World (Girls)”.

But she wasn’t the only singer on the stage; she brought her husband and critically acclaimed rapper Jay-Z on stage to sing “Deja Vu”. Then, a reunion with her former Destiny’s Child groupies Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams really surprised the audience. They sang hit songs such as, “Soldier” and “Say My Name”. Last, but certainly not least, sister Solange came to the stage to dance along with her and sing “Get Me Bodied”.

She had multiple costume changes, multiple dance routines and multiple songs that she sang and never missed a beat! I guess that’s why they call her Queen B!

Beyoncé is set to perform once more on Saturday April 21–be sure to be amazed, yet again.
