    The Barnstormers Drama Club is performing The Laramie Project. Performances of The Laramie Project are today at 7:30, tomorrow at 4:00, and Saturday at 2:30 and 7:30. Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased in the Book Room.

    Lakewood Rec Intramural basketball begins December 8.  League meeting will be Thursday, November 8 after school in the cafeteria.  For more information, please call Rick at 216-529-4082.

     

    There will be a sign-up/informational meeting in the cafeteria on Thursday, November 8th at 3:15 pm for those interested in joining the Boys Indoor Track team.

     

    There is a sign up meeting for the Girls Indoor Track Team, taking place on Monday, Nov. 5, immediately after school in Lec. Hall 2.

    For a $1 donation at the door when you come in tomorrow, you will be permitted to dress up at school to keep the Halloween spirit going and to help raise funds for the class of 2019

    Costumes must be school appropriate and follow the school dress code for theme and length of costume.  This means no masks, no fake weapons, and no costumes depicting drugs, alcohol, sexual innuendo, or smoking products.  You are encouraged to participate but keep in mind that costumes must be school appropriate.

     

    Tomorrow, LHS will be holding a midterm mock election. Students will be voting on candidates for Governor, U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, 9th district.  Students will vote online, in their social studies classes.  If you are not enrolled in a social studies class — please visit the library during your lunch period.  Voting will take only a few minutes.

     

    More than 100 high school volunteers raised $3900 to fight hunger in our city at Pumpkin Palooza last weekend.  A big shout out to the volunteers from H2O, Barnstormers, Business Management, Cooking and Foods classes, Early Childhood Education, Electronic Engineering, Facing History, the Football Team, German Club, Le Cercle Francais, Media Art & Design, Medical Office Management, National Honor Society, and the Ranger Hub.  Way to go Rangers, helping people and changing lives!

     

    Attention Lakewood Dancers!

    Clinics will be held next Monday at 5:15 pm in the Art Atrium and Thursday, November 8, in Lecture Hall 1.

    Tryouts are Friday, November 9 at 7am or 5:30pm.  You must have your medical emergency form filled out in order to participate.

     

    The 2nd Barney’s Cafe of the year is Wednesday, November 7! Anyone interested in signing up to perform may sign up on the bulletin board outside of the Black Box Studio Theatre. This is a free night of acoustic music, with coffee and treats available for purchase.  Come join the fun!
