    Warriors downfall in the NBA

    Warriors downfall in the NBA

I believe the Warriors will finally step down as the Best team ever, as they show weakness on the court and tension off it. The Golden State Warriors who have won three out of the four past four finals while also breaking the 1995–96 Chicago Bulls’ record for best regular season in NBA history. They defeated the Memphis grizzlies 125–104 on April 13, recording 73 wins and only 9 losses.

There was a reported heated altercation between Kevin Durant, and Draymond Green. Durant is up for free agency this year, becoming a big topic. Warriors may have to make a choice between the two future Hall of Famers and the choice won’t be easy. Durant could be named the best player in the league, all the while Green can be seen as the reason the Warriors are so successful as a team. With the addition DeMarcus Cousins, the super team is still posed to dominate the league, but an added superstar could also lead to more chemistry disruptions down the road.

According to sports.yahoo.com, Draymond Green reportedly told Kevin Durant he could leave Warriors.  Green stated something similar to, “We don’t need you. We won without you, Leave.” Its seems tensions are high in the locker room prior to Thursday’s blowout loss. Green has reportedly talked with Durant during the team’s shoot-around and has also  walked into the arena with him. Green had five rebounds, five assists, five turnovers and no points in the 707-86 blowout defeat to the Houston Rockets.

LHS Senior Max Llewellyn was asked whether or not he thinks Kevin Durant will leave, and why? “I watch a ton of basketball and the warriors have dominated for so long, they still have so much talent but that could be the reason Kevin leaves.”
