“This was not the end of you” by Morgan Ball

Morgan Ball

We walked the streets together,

Sharing laughs and smiles.

You are long gone now, and I’m alone.

These memories I remember, stick in my mind,

My heart falls each time.

I recover from his death.

As time goes on we all forget,

We all get time to heal, to grieve.

This time we had is cut now. It’s time to live,

His name not forgotten, his legacy stays,

In our hearts, he remains.

He’s here even when he’s gone.

Hidden among us, inside of our thoughts.

He wanders aimlessly, wanting to be remembered.

To be felt again.
