When you think of sports bras, braces and your little uni-brow that always got you made fun of,  you think of the one and only awkward stages in your life, middle school.

In a story about Anna and Maya, two young girls who are about to start seventh grade in the year 2000. Comedians, Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle, play versions of themselves while also delivering the pain of female adolescence in this coming-of-age TV show.

Just watching the show brings back old middle school memories which just makes you reminisce about the time when you were young and barely had responsibilities; but also making you cringe at the same time by just the thought of viewing yourself back in middle school.

Remembering a time in your life and adolescence that is revived by a TV show makes it even more better.

At first, watching the show was a little weird, considering that there were two 32-year old women playing two 13-year old characters, especially when every other student in the show is typically kid aged; but once you keep watching, it’s easy to be intrigue by the comedy series.

The show brings back 2000’s looks, hairstyles and attitude which is a very popular talk and trend today. I guess things always do come back in style.

The show goes over topics such as trying to be stylish in a pre-teen body (which includes stealing a hot pink thong in one of the episodes), first kisses, crushes, relationships, peer pressure and a lot of other things that I can’t mention in this article.
