Monday night in Houston, Texas, the Houston Rockets and the Golden State Warriors went head to head in  Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals. The Rockets were looking to even the series at 2 games a piece before going back for a game 5 in Golden State, instead of being down 3-1.

Houston got out to a hot start. They took a quick 10-4 lead, but the Warriors quickly came back and matched their momentum. Golden State took a 3 point lead into the second quarter. The second quarter was dominated by the Rockets. They rained in a surplus of 3’s and took a 7 point lead into halftime.

The second half was pretty even, but the Warriors could never get over the hump and make their typical comeback. Kevin Durant led them in scoring with 34 points. He has been their catalyst all postseason.

On the other hand, Rockets superstar James Harden had a game-high 38 points. This is the type of game that Houston needed before going back to Golden State for Game 5. Now, if they are able to win Game 5 on the road the odds of them winning the series would go up tremendously.

Rockets and primarily James Harden fan Dominic Wahba said “Harden is going to put the team on his back and carry them to the Finals, he is finally going to take down the Warriors.”

The Rockets still have a lot of work to do. They would have to win at least one game on the road to win the series. Winning on the road against the Warriors has proven to be one of the hardest things to do in the NBA. It will be interesting to see if the Rockets can get it done and shock the world.
