This Thursday, May 9th, is the Senior Art Show; which will display varying medias such as Ceramics, mixed media, paintings, fiber arts, and more. Awards will be given for such media too; the judge had come on Wednesday morning to take a look and determine what will win.
The award ceremony will begin at 6:30 while the art show itself goes from 4-7. Awards include:
- Best of Ceramics
- Best of Media Art
- Best of Fiber Art
- Best of Painting
- Best of Printmaking
- Best of Show
Awards were made by the Art 4 class and winners will be announced the night of. The art 4 class also decorated their own boards to display their art work they have created over the past two years.
The art show will also offer snacks, sell ceramics work, and sell shoes–yes, shoes.
Every year, Art 4 students would be given a pair of Vans to design and paint, and they are now showcased in the art rooms. But, art teacher, Amy Sedlak, is retiring after next school year and decided to sell them.
The Everyone But Senior art Show went exceptionally well and everyone is anticipating seeing what this years group has put together. Art student, Katie Loris, said “I am just really excited to show everyone what I have worked so hard on, it is my last chance to do this too. Inviting all my friends and family is the best part too.”
Overall, this senior class has worked extremely hard on their show and are looking forward to showcase everything.
