Lakewood Hockey Takes on St. Eds

"Jonas Hupcey"

Tuesday Lakewood made history by beating parma to advance to the second round of the state tournament to face st eds high school after a great performance against parma.

The final score of the Lakewood-parma game was 2-1 with Senior Will Holden scoring both goals for Lakewood. With Rob Holden playing stellar in net only allowing one goal to the high-powered Parma offense. On defense Alex Blinky shut down most of their scoring chances to help out Rob. It was not a high scoring but it was a hard-fought battle by both teams.

Rob stopped 33 out of 34 shots and really played his heart out. The team overall played a great team game and had many opportunities to score but just missed some easy goals.

This weekend on Sunday the Ranger hockey team plays St. Eds at 12pm at John M. Coyne Recreation Center
