Nobody can deny that COVID-19 has shifted our lives on a major scale. Our routines are not what they used to be, and a lot of people are struggling to keep up with their schoolwork because they lack motivation or they simply don’t know where to start. In order to help with this situation, I have conducted a 4-point distance learning plan that is easy to follow and will hopefully provide guidance to many students.

1.As soon as you open your chromebook, check your school email! Everything related to your homework, Zoom meetings, AP exams, scholarships and universities is going to be contained in your email, and you better check it daily if you want to be up to date with everything that has been going on. Next, check Google Classroom as well as Remind since teachers send important updates there too.

2.Make a list of all your classes and write down everything you need to get done for each class, along with the deadlines. Sure, everything is contained in your inbox, but sometimes too many emails can be overwhelming. To avoid needless confusions on what you have to complete for each class, just write everything down and proceed from there. 

3.If you have a Zoom meeting with a teacher, write down the date and time of the meeting as well as the meeting ID and password. This is very important because it will save you time before the meeting starts. If you already have the correct digits to plug in, you don’t have to search for that one email where the teacher sent the meeting code.

4.Once you got everything figured out, start with the assignment that is due first. That doesn’t mean that you have to complete it right away; give yourself possibilities for short breaks or even changing subjects for a while. I’d recommend working a little bit on each subject every day so that you are on track and don’t forget the material.
