    Mrs. America Review

    Mrs.+America+Review

Mrs. America, available exclusively on Hulu, tells the story of the fight for the Equal Rights Amendment in the 1970s. Director Dahvi Waller tells the inspiring story through multiple viewpoints of leading activists during the time.

However, there is a twist. The fascinating thing about Mrs. America is that it not only goes into detail about the fight for the ERA, but it explains the fight against the ERA as well and the women determined to put an end to the women’s movement.

By following the very true story of the ERA and the Women’s Movement through different perspectives it helps illustrate the intensity and political corruption that occurred during this historical time.

The beautiful thing about Mrs. America is that no matter what your political views are, it is a show either side can enjoy. Waller does an excellent job of remaining unbiased and simply explaining the inspiring, true story of the Women’s Movement and the obstacles they faced.

Some activist the show features includes: American author and movement conservative Phyllis Schlafly – opposing the ERA, American feminist, author, and activist Betty Friedan, and American feminist, journalist, and social-political activist Gloria Steinem.

No matter your political view Mrs. America is an excellent show to watch if you are looking to expand your knowledge of the Women’s Movement or if you are just simply looking for a way to pass time.
