    A Win is a Win

    A Win is a Win

The Cleveland Browns faced off against the Houston Texans here in Cleveland for week 10 of NFL football.  One thing is for sure, this was not what most people expected.  Before the game came about people were expecting a high scoring affair, considering both teams don’t have the best defense.  This was not the case as by the end of the game the Brown’s edged out a 7-10 win.

The game didn’t start as planned because of the crazy winds going through Cleveland.  These winds and a few lighting strikes postponed the game for what felt like forever (30 minutes). Finally, the first drive arrived and the Browns drive the ball down to about the 15-yard line. To finish off the drive, Clevelands center JC Tretter has a bad snap followed by Baker Mayfield’s intentional grounding.  As a result, the Browns kicker Cody Parky puts on through the uprights to put the Browns up 3-0.

The Cody Parky kick was the only score up until the fourth quarter! The back and forth battle was not the most eventful game to watch unless you’re a huge fan of low scoring games.  ” It was a game we should have won, regardless it was boring to watch,” says junior Dominic Toledo of Rocky River High School.

The Browns had a few players that had great performances, this included Nick Chubb finally being back from the IL (injury list).  Chubb rushed the ball 19 times for a total of 126 yards including a touchdown.  Chubb had a chance for another touchdown but unselfishly ran the ball out of bounds knowing if he did so the Browns could run down the rest of the play clock and win.

Another game-changer was defensive end, Myles Garrett.  Garrett has carried the Browns defense this year and this game just helps this case.  Myles had a half of a sack and a tackle for a loss in one drive. The tackle for a loss was a huge key to winning the game.  The Texans were around the Browns 5 yard line on fourth down.  Texans quarterback Desean Watson decided to run a QB draw, not knowing he had to go through Garrett to get the 6 points.

A win is a win, but more is needed.
