Upcoming Events in September

Maggie Dineen, Lakewood News Reporter

September is a month full of beginnings. Back to school, autumn weather, and routines all come back at the start of September. This month, Lakewood has many exciting events coming up for everyone.

The Lakewood Community Festival is back for the 33rd year! On Saturday, Sept. 11, Lakewood citizens get together to celebrate different cultures, communities, heritage and families. This event is suited for people of all ages, with games for everyone involved. The festival will be held at Madison Park on Madison Avenue and will go from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Oktoberfest is right around the corner! Even though we are a month away from October, this annual event will be held Friday, Sept. 3. Oktoberfest is a great place to meet up with friends and have a great time but you must be over 21. As always, it will be held on the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Middleburg Heights. Head on down for this fun fall activity.

The 2021 Cleveland National Air Show is blasting off this September. Starting on Sept. 4 at 8 a.m. and running until Sept. 6 at 2 p.m., the air show will be happening throughout the weekend. The U.S. Thunderbirds will show off their flying abilities at 1501 N Marginal Rd, Cleveland. The air show is a day activity for families with children, as there are planes to explore around the area and booths for learning.

Make sure to check out these awesome local activities this September. Go outside and enjoy the nice autumn weather this month!
