    The Art of Collaging

    The Art of Collaging

The art of collaging: the art that anybody can do. There is a wide variety of mediums that collages can be done on, but the most common medium are mood boards. Each image that is plastered can mean anything to you or a topic that you are given for the class.

A collage does not have to be perfect. It can be anything you want it to be.

When collaging your design, you can create it to be as specific or as loose as you want it to be. There are designs that can take up the whole page or there are designs that can be as little as the corner of the page. The design you create helps incorporate the message you want to say. It helps create a bigger picture even if it’s for an assignment or for a mood board.

A mood board is a board that essentially has pictures plastered onto a bulletin board. With the plastered images there is colored paper, washi tape, and stickers attached to it. The mood board shows what you want to manifest in the future.

It does not even have to be a mood board. It can be an assignment from your teacher. With this you have complete freedom of what you want to do with the pictures; it just has to be associated with the assignment.

Creating a collage is another creative outlet for people who are not the best at drawing.
