Lakewood Volleyball Game Of The Year

    Lakewood+Volleyball+Game+Of+The+Year

This Saturday, Sept. 25th, was a day full of events for Lakewood High. Starting as early as 9 a.m. the Lakewood High Volleyball girls were at a gym starting their day of games. The Lady Rangers took on the Fairview Warriors. This was more than just another game for the Rangers.  Fairview’s head coach, Maggie Sczcepaniak, is an ex-coach of Lakewood Volleyball. The Rangers needed to show their former coach what they can do without her. They got the revenge they have been looking forward to all season. All across the boards the Rangers took the victory. Freshman, JV and Varsity all won against the Warriors and it was well deserved.

The Lakewood Rangers have the best record currently that they have had in years. Their current record is eight wins and six losses. This team has shown so much improvement and more confidence in the new coaching staff. Senior Molly Pilgrim reached 100 total kills for this season on Saturday.  This is a huge accomplishment and Molly is continuing to lead her team in kills to help get some wins.

The Rangers were supported by a huge student section who were on their feet cheering them on the whole game. The players used this momentum to win in three sets not allowing the Warriors to even get in the win column. The Rangers only have a couple games left and they are looking to end the season on a strong note. Make sure to come see the Rangers as they finish up their season.
