    Advice On Growing Mentally

Being able to pick out your flaws and turning them into something beautiful is an amazing skill set to have. Mental growth is a huge factor in everyone’s life and it could bring you such good and happiness. From personal experience I know what it’s like to have someone tell you things you need to improve on or the friendship won’t work. For example, I would get really defensive over the smallest things because thats just what I was used to. It almost cost me one of my favorite friendships, and it did for a moment of time. Being told your flaws and seeing people hurting because of it beats you up mentally. But sometimes you need to hit rock bottom to see how lucky you are and to help fix things mentally.

It wasn’t easy growing. There’s not really an easy way to do it, or I should say a quicker way. The thing that helped me grow the most was going to rock bottom. Not having anything but yourself really shows you how good life is. Being down there gives you time to think about what you have done and see just how crappy and toxic it is. When you do realize it though, at least for myself, it just kinda clicked and I slowly got better. I didn’t snap at people anymore or push them away when times got rough. I had slip ups here and there but it is important that those people know that you are trying your hardest to change and to better yourself.

Moral of the story, don’t be afraid to be lonely and hit rock bottom. With that being said, make sure you know your limits though, so you don’t get sucked down too deeply. Work on yourself for your mental sake and for the ones you love. Self growth is such a magical and beautiful thing, and when you realize it, you will never have felt better.
