On Wednesday, Oct 13, the Lady Rangers took on Nordonia for their senior night. As the crowd gathered with parents, aunts, cousins and grandparents the student section was larger than ever. Everyone was wearing pink and ready to support the seniors as they played their last in-season home game.

There were eight seniors who celebrated at the game. First being Anna Petroff, this is her first year playing soccer at Lakewood high school. Olivia Lusardo was next for the seniors, she has played for two years with Lakewood High school. The next senior who walked down the field with her parents was Lucy Mcintire. Lucy has played for Lakewood all four years of high school along with Reka Sundem and Alanna Cunningham. The last two seniors to walk down the field were Sylvie Ballou and Ellie Humphreys; they have both been playing for four years as well. All of these seniors have really shown their true leadership, this program will be so much stronger with the bond they made with the team.

Emotions were high as the game started because senior night makes people realize that this is the last time playing with the team they love. The game ended and Lakewood lost 0-1. Even though they lost, they were all happy because they put up such a strong fight. All of them really worked hard for all 80 minutes and they kept pushing until the final second.

They are all so hardworking and dedicated to soccer; Lakewood should be very excited to see where they go in the playoffs.
