    Harry Styles: Love On Tour

    Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse

October 18th, in downtown Cleveland, fans at the Harry Styles concert danced and sang their hearts out. Early that Monday morning, hundreds of fans waited outside the arena in hopes of getting as close to the stage as possible for this sold-out show. Fans were excited to finally see Harry Styles live after a two year delay from Covid-19.

Because of Covid-19, entrance to the arena looked a little different this year. Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse had its first event where proof of vaccination or a negative test were required for entry. Masks were also strongly encouraged and enforced by security guards inside.

Before Harry Styles made an appearance on stage, musician Jenny Lewis had an opening act. While many did not know her songs, the crowd was still enthusiastic and danced along. During her performance, Lewis definitely gained more fans.

Thirty or so minutes later Harry Styles rose from the stage and began performing “Golden.” “Golden” was one of the many songs Styles played from his most recent album, “Fine Line.” Styles threw in songs from his solo debut album and from One Direction in his setlist.

Harry Styles was seen with numerous props, given by fans in the Cherry or Watermelon Pit. Elton John-inspired sunglasses, many sunflowers, a rainbow boa, various pride flags as well as a Black Lives Matter flag were some of the various props Styles was seen dancing with throughout the show, some props with reference to a song. During Watermelon Sugar, a fan threw Styles a watermelon-themed beach ball which Styles began to juggle with his feet.

Harry Styles: Love On Tour ended with “Kiwi” from his self-titled album. This is the same song he performed at the end of every show at his last tour, Harry Styles: Live On Tour. As Styles finished the song, his band remained on the stage and kept playing before finally ending the show.
