Trick-or-Treating in Lakewood

Trick-or-Treating+in+Lakewood

After the absence of Trick-or-Treating last year due to COVID-19, Lakewood has brought back the traditional Halloween experience for 2021. Even though COVID is still prevalent, with the vaccine and the fact that Trick-or-Treating is an outdoor event, the city of Lakewood has decided that it will not be an issue this year. On Sunday, October 31, Trick or Treating will occur from 6 pm-8 pm.

Now that Trick-or-Treating is coming up, it’s important to remember to spread awareness about safety through the night. Halloween is one of the most dangerous nights for kids to be on the streets due to reckless drivers or even drivers just not being able to see kids in the street. It’s important to make sure your kids either have reflective gear or have an adult with them to make sure they’re safe.

Also for protection, it’s important to have an adult with a child for safety regarding abductions. People are out and about in the dark on Halloween and it is easy for a child to get lost and get themselves in a dangerous situation. Remember, it’s all about the kids!

So on Halloween, make sure to participate in Lakewood’s 2021 Trick or Treating to make up for the missed experience last year, and stay safe!
