On October 15th, Netflix released the third season of “You”. This psychological thriller has returned and has grabbed students’ attention at Lakewood High School. “You” is a Netflix original following Joe Goldberg and his obsessions as well as how far he would go to remove any obstacles in his way, including people.
In this new season, Joe and Love are seen in a new suburban neighborhood with their new child. Will parenthood change Joe and Love for the better? Or will it tear them apart?
The Lakewood Times asked Lakewood students their opinions on the new season. Senior Molly Minadeo shares, “I think it’s the best season so far. It was definitely the most craziest season and the ending is definitely worth the wait.” Season 2 was released in 2019 and due to Covid-19, filming for season 3 was postponed. Another Senior Lindsay Gregg adds to the discussion, “It was messy and messed up.” For those who have seen the first two seasons, you would know how insane the characters can be and how quickly things can get dark.
After watching season 3, one question remains: Will there be another season? Fortunately, this Netflix original announced it has the green light for another season. There is no official trailer out yet for season 4 of “You” and should not be expected any time soon.
