Senior Assembly

Senior+Assembly
John Benson

On Wednesday, November 3rd, the Seniors had to go down to the cafeteria for an assembly during their 4th-period class. During this assembly, the senior advisers provided the students information about the important dates that are coming up in the future, such as Winter Formal, Prom (at the Botanical Gardens), and when we are able to order the cap and gown, etc.

During this assembly, the students had to participate in a Kahoot that would determine the class motto, flower, and song. The seniors had to vote for what they thought was best for each of the categories. The class motto is, “The tassel is worth the hassle.” The class flower is a purple lei and the class song is 22 by Taylor Swift. All of these picks have mixed reviews.

Mr. C then encouraged the students to behave well at school events, such as winter formal, so that they can get a food truck on the last day of school. He also talked about when the seniors are going to graduate and when there is going to be the graduation rehearsal.

The people from Jostens, a company that provides the senior’s merchandise, came to talk about the hoodies, sweatpants, and class rings. They encouraged us to make the order early so that we are able to get the merchandise at a better price than what is provided. On Friday, November 5th, the people from Jostens will come during lunch to showcase their merchandise so that the seniors can purchase it.
