Senior Art Show

Senior Art Show
Inga Wilhelmy

On Thursday, April 28 there is going to be a Senior Art Show at Lakewood High School. It is going to take place in the Art Atrium from 4-7 p.m. It displays many different artistic creativity that seniors have worked so hard on this year. There is so much variety of art and it just shows the talents of the students at Lakewood High. The art also demonstrates what students learn from the different art classes that are offered here. There are so many options from art to media design to ceramics. Students have a large variety of art to learn and choose from.

The art show mainly showcases the students that have been involved in art all four years of high school. The students that are in AP Art have their own stands in the middle of the atrium.  Artist Inga Wilhelmy has a stand full of her paintings and art creations that she has done either on her own or in her AP Art classes. But it isn’t all paintings. Senior Grace Hoppel has her own stand for photography. She showcases pictures of her friends, athletic pictures, and just people living their everyday lives.

There are also ceramic pieces. From pots to cups to sculptures the talents of students working with clay is displayed. Some students who didn’t have room in their schedule for art pieces have entered pieces they personally work on in their own time.  Every artistic senior that wants to be included can enter their artwork to be displayed. Awards will be given out to the best pieces.
