This past Saturday on Sept. 10, Lakewood High School’s Girls Cross Country attended the Seneca Stars and Stripes Invite at Seneca East High School. The Rangers had some impressive scores from this meet. Some leading times were by Josie Kavc, Mae Mohar, and Anna Daso. Kavc came in 13th place overall, and had a time of 19:44. Mohar came in 45th place with a time of 21:02.27. And 3rd best time on the team, Daso, had a time of 21:41.99!  

These hard working athletes have five more races left in the 2022 season. Come by and cheer the rangers on! The Lakewood Times will keep updating everyone on the Ranger’s season. 

The Boys Cross Country team attended the Tiffin Invite at Tiffin Columbian High School on Saturday as well. The boys placed 17th out of 29! Luka Bork had the best time out of the team with 15:46.9 and came in 4th place overall. Charlie Payne came in 20th place; his time was an excellent 16:29.0! Quinn Sutliff came in 115th place with a great time of 18:08.9. 

Not only did Lakewood’s Cross Country have a great day but the Varsity Girls tennis team did too! This past Thursday on Sept. 8 these ladies played at the LHS tennis courts up against the North Ridgeville Rangers. The Lakewood Rangers had three great wins! 2nd singles won their match, as well as 3rd singles and 1st doubles. Great job Lakewood! The girls varsity tennis team has lots of matches left in the 2022 season. Good luck ladies, and keep bringing home those wins!
