Club Identity, formerly referred to as Race and Diversity Club, will be hosting its first meeting after school on Thursday, Sept. 8. This meeting, held and advised by Mr. Lobozzo in room C309, will address various topics ranging from education to social media to religion to politics to culture. The big question being asked here: “How do our race, ethnicity, gender, age, and ability affect our interactions here at LHS and in the wider world?” If this is a question you’ve ever considered, or would like to consider in the future, you should join Mr. Lobozzo and many other participating students in a multitude of open discussions hosted in Club Identity.
Club Identity offers a safe place to share open conversations, ask questions, and better understand our fellow peers, advisors, and community members. Additionally, it provides an opportunity for those who want to hear the opinions and insights of others regarding many modern-day events and problems in our world. With so many conflicting views, political disputes, and global concerns, there is a growing need for understanding and discussion. If you, or anyone you know, may be interested in taking part in such discussions, or even simply listening in on discussions held between other students, you should stop by C309 to check it out. Club Identity is welcoming to all interested students and staff. It’s a great way to become more involved in your school and your community as a whole as it truly promotes understanding and knowledge of a variety of topics relevant in our world today.
