Informational Homecoming Dates

Informational+Homecoming+Dates

As students at Lakewood High School begin their first semester studies and indulge in the 2022-2023 school year, they are also looking forward to the exciting events that the beginning of the school year entails. September is filled with student activities such as fall sports, clubs and organizations for students to be a part of, marching band, homecoming, etc. The first school dance of the year entails lots of festivities and ways for the students to show their school spirit, participate in fun decisions, and rally together with their fellow friends and classmates.

The homecoming football game is on Friday, Sept. 30. The theme of the game is purple and gold and the kick-off is at 7 p.m. The dance takes place the following night on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 7 to 9:30. The students of LHS will primarily decide the music for the dance. A Google Form will be sent out to the entire student body starting Sept. 12 and closing on Sept. 16 at 3 p.m.

Spirit week leading up to the dance is Sept. 26 through Sept. 30. The spirit week themes have been announced by the Student Council. Students can find posters of the themes around the school or reach out to their grades’ student council offers with any questions. The pep rally will be held in the Gymnasium during periods 8 and 9 on Sept. 30. At the start of the pep rally, the annual homecoming King and Queen will be announced—voting for the Homecoming Court for seniors will start on Sept. 19, and end on Sept. 21. Four boys and four girls with the most nominations by the senior class will be this year’s Homecoming Court. Afterward, voting will be opened to the entire student body the week of Sept. 26 through Sept. 30.

Hope to see everyone participating in all the homecoming activities to make it a great experience for themselves and all of the Lakewood High School student body.
