This past week both Cross Country teams attended the McQuaid Invite. McQuaid Jesuit is located in Rochester New York. The top 12 boys went and 14 girls went. The teams had to miss Lakewood High School’s homecoming but that didn’t stop them from having some fun! The teams had their own homecoming to make up for missing Lakewood’s. These Boys and Girls were very successful in this meet. The boys had some great scores. Leading for Lakewood was, Charlie Payne. Payne came in 4th overall with a time of 15:42.1! Then, coming up next for the Rangers is Quinn Sutliff. Sutliff had a time of 17:27.1, coming in 46th place. Hutch Reed had a time of 18:15.3 coming in 74th place.
The girls were great too. Leading for Lakewood was, Josie Kavc. Kavc’s score was, 19.27.11, with that score Kavc was able to place 5th overall. Coming up next for the Rangers is, Mae Mohar. With a time of 21:52.27 and 19th place overall! Jazi Dunay had a great time of, 21:33.99! Dunay came in 33rd place overall! Great job Rangers! The cross country teams only have 2 meets left in this season. If you see these rangers make sure to congratulate them for their great performances in New York.
