Some Things To Know About The LHS Performing Arts Program

Some+Things+To+Know+About+The+LHS+Performing+Arts+Program
Lakewood City Schools

The Performing Arts program consists of groups of different music and performing sections to sign up for. From the many performance groups at the high school to Lakewood’s elementary music program, there are many options for the students at Lakewood. One of these programs includes Drama, which offers Broadcast/Theater Production as an elective through the English department. Theater Arts is available through the West Shore Career-Technical District. The Barnstormers Drama Club performs three plays throughout the school year, including a spring musical.

This goes for Middle School as well; the whole program goes through all of the Lakewood City Schools, allowing the students to have many opportunities and choices. Along with the program, there is a list of things to do. Not just two or three separate things, either; you have things such as Band, Orchestra, Choir, etc. There are so many options for the students here at Lakewood, allowing them to have fun and take up some time for classes. There are so many different things to look forward to throughout all grade levels.

There are so many reasons to sign up: it allows students to have fun, meet new people, sing a little, and overall just have a good time. Maybe even sign up just to see what it looks like! Everyone doesn’t have to 100% sign up for anything in the Performing Arts category of things. But if your child is into the things that we offer, then the schools in the area, no matter what grade, can help get the kids signed up for whatever they would like/need.
