The Lakewood High School choir and orchestra are going to Washington DC! They go on trips every four years and this year, they are headed to the nation’s capital. Most students did this in 8th grade and had so much fun.
The bus will arrive at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 12. They will leave at about 7:17 a.m. to get to DC around 3 p.m.. They are there until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15. They arrive back at Lakewood High School around 10 p.m. They will be staying in The Hilton Hotel Fairfax.
They will rehearse and perform in DC. Rehearsals will be at Mount Vernon High School. Both performing arts will perform at the high school and the choir will be performing at a local church.
They will also be touring the historical sites in DC. Students learn so much during this trip and have so much fun! A student on TheLakewood Times said that it was one of the most fun trips they have been on.
