Cornhole Club

Cornhole Club

Marissa White, Clubs and Organizations Reporter

Cornhole Club is a recently created club here at Lakewood High, advised by Mr. Burgess in B201. All grades are welcome. The purpose of this club is to provide students with an after-school activity for a sport that is played relatively over the summer, where they can increase their skills, have fun, and get to know some of their peers a little better.

The Cornhole Club just had a meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 1 to provide more information about it and start up the club. Just around 20 students at LHS attended the meeting. Mr. Burgess hasn’t fully figured out the schedule but he’s planning on having a few Monday meetings every month here at LHS; just keep an eye on the LHS daily announcements for more information.

The credit for this club goes to sophomore Milo Lopez who came up with the idea of a Cornhole Club and brought it up to Mr. Burgess, asking him to become the advisor.
