Why You Should go See the Fall Play

Why You Should go See the Fall Play
Cleveland State

Aside from being a reporter for the Lakewood Times, I’m also assistant directing the fall play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare, alongside the director, Carolyn Demanelis. The show is opening on Thursday, Nov. 10. And it closes on Saturday, Nov. 12. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. all three of those nights.

With being the assistant director, I find it necessary to do some shameless plugging, so, here are a few reasons why you should go see the play next week.

Reason one, it’s really funny. I know Shakespeare can be hard to follow sometimes, but this show is so easy to follow and it really is super funny, and since our production is set in the 90s, it adds to the comedy and honestly, makes it easier to follow.

Reason two, it’s magical. The magic in the show all adds to the comedy, and the actors do such a terrific job portraying the magic being done.

Another reason is that if you come to the show, you’re supporting your fellow classmates. Some students of our school have been working so hard for a while and it would mean a lot to us if you could take the time to see it. You won’t regret it.

All in all, it’s just an amazing show and it would make me, and so many other people happy if you could come see it.
