LHS cross country runners Luka Bork and Charlie Payne made it to the Division 1 State Championship Meet over the weekend. The pair finished 4th and 28th, respectively, in the regional meet held Oct. 29, earning them their spots at the state meet. Josie Kavc from the girls team deserves an honorable mention as she also competed at Regionals.

Following their big send off Friday by the LHS marching band, it’s safe to say Luka and Charlie had quite a few eyes on them as they ran and they did not disappoint. Luka finished 12th overall and earned All-Ohio status with his finish of 15:27. Charlie finished 46th out of a field of 180 with a time of 16:27.
