Alejandro Nieves Bucey

We have a lot of clubs, but have you ever wondered how they are created? Here are some questions answered by Clare Morrissey about how she got some of her clubs approved by the school.

How many clubs are you the president of?

“Three. Film club, Ski cub, and Board club.”

Which of the clubs your the president of is your favorite?

“Ski Club is my favorite. It is so swag and bad like me.”

Clare also remarked that a lot of the time teachers are looking for an advisor or representative to help out with pre-existing organizations. In Clare’s words, “If you want to represent a club, simply for something to look good on an application, you can just ask the teachers who run it and they will usually offer you a spot – you just have to be willing to put in some time to help them out. If you want to start a club about something you are passionate about it is a bit more work, you have to find a teacher to advise the club and then a consistent time and location for your meetings… It can be a lot of work but it is definitely worth it.”
