Lakewood Hockey played home two weekends ago at Winterhurst against North Olmsted. The Rangers lost the game 1-7 with a goal by Eli Ladue.

Here’s what the goalie Ryan Sterling had to say about the game against North Olmsted:

“So I feel that the game last Saturday against North Olmsted went in my opinion not to plan, during the first period I felt good and had solid numbers, but transiting into the second period in my opinion the team fell apart including myself and it went down hill, the team got sluggish and I got in my own head and we suffered a pretty bad, most of our team was dead tired, and going into the third we came in with a new mentality to try our hardest but it wasn’t enough and the team lost.   The one thing to keep in mind during that time is all you can do is try your hardest and sometimes you get beat but that’s no reason to stop trying. The team was not ready for that one. We have suffered a great decline in confidence as a team losing important players, but we aren’t going out without a fight.”

The Lakewood Rangers will be back on the ice this weekend at North Olmsted Recreation Center against Westlake at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28. Then the Lakewood Rangers will be back home Sunday at Winterhurst to take on Cleveland Heights for senior night at 3:10 p.m. Come down to Winterhurst to support our seniors Jude Johnson, Gabe Constantine, Gavin Fulmer, Annette Doren, Eli Ladue, and Jay Schmoldt, as this will be their last season playing for the Lakewood Rangers.
