Hello students! It’s that time of the year again for school dances. This Saturday, Feb. 4, Lakewood High School is hosting their annual Winter Formal Dance. This is the last school dance for underclassmen. Winter Formal is a great time to get dressed up and have lots of fun with your friends and classmates. But, there are some things us students need to remember and follow.

There are many rules we need to follow as students at the high school. All Lakewood High School policies and procedures apply. First and foremost, entrance to the dance will not be permitted after 8:00pm. This dance begins at 7:00pm which gives students plenty of time to make their way into the school. Next, a photo ID is to validate and cross-reference with the pre-sale when coming to the doors. This gives the employees at the table a reference if you attend the high school and if you are bringing a guest and their name.

Thirdly, LHS Administration reserves the right to revoke Winter Dance privileges for poor behavior and/or attendance. Students issued on Out-of-School Suspension prior to the date of the dance will not be permitted to attend. This ensures that students are on their best behavior. Lastly, Drinking alcoholic beverages or use of narcotics, illegal substances, and tobacco/vaping is strictly prohibited. Any person suspected of being under the influence or in possession of alcohol, narcotics, illegal substances, tobacco, or vaping pens will be removed and will be subject to disciplinary action and criminal charges.

Again, Winter Formal is an opportunity for students to enjoy the last possible dance of the school year in which we need to follow all the rules and regulations given to us. Get dressed and look your best this Saturday!
