Gamer’s Club and What It Is About

Gamers Club and What It Is About

Gamer’s Club is one of the many clubs Lakewood High School offers to the widespread student population. Gamer’s Club is run by Mr. Street, a teacher at Lakewood High. Gamer’s Club advertises itself as a fun, friendly competitive environment that many students view as a safe space to play video games. Gamer’s Club plays a variety of games, they have been known to play Minecraft, Nintendo switch, etc.

Attending Gamer’s Club, one will not be disappointed; if you are lucky there will be pizza and snacks. While the Gamer’s Club is a fun enjoyable club, don’t get it twisted; games can get intense! Senior class president Ameer Alkayali has personal experience and says during presentations at Harding Middle School to incoming freshmen, ”Don’t get it twisted, it can get intense! I walked past the Gamer’s Club room one time after school and hear playful arguments and cheering; it’s honestly just a super fun club to be a part of.”

Grace Hart, another advent member of the Gamer’s Club states, “I met some really cool people I didn’t think I would mesh with a different group of people that I don’t typically hang out with, but now I met some of my favorite people.” Being a part of a Gamer’s Club is more casual, meaning it’s not a fully committed club. If one day you hear the announcements that the Gamer’s Club is meeting and think you wish you were a part of it, well you can be!

You can come to the meetings as you please to play friendly competitive fun games with your friends, and if you don’t have many friends; the Gamer’s Club is a good way to meet new people with the same interests as you!
