Get your groove on, Lakewood High School! The annual dance show was back last Friday and Saturday, (2/16 and 2/17), in the Civic Auditorium. The Dance Show allows students to get creative, show off their artistic abilities, and have fun with making numbers of dances filled with fun choreography with friends and classmates.  

The dance show premiered at 7:30 in the Civic Auditorium and many came to support the show. Not only did the parents of the performers show up, but many of the student body did. Senior Casey Funk and a couple friends decided on Friday night they would go support the dance show and surely they didn’t regret it for one minute. “It’s really awesome to show appreciation to these students because of all the hard work they put into their dances. As a senior, I think it’s extremely important to attempt to attend every school event even if none of your friends are in it so you get different perspectives and I wanted to soak up all the time I have left here at Lakewood,” says Funk. The show was filled with all types of choreography which made the show extremely enjoyable and entertaining. 

It’s important as a school to recognize all the hard work we put into our shows and plays and admire that Lakewood High School has such an amazing auditorium to present these to the public. The next show Lakewood is showcasing is, “Anastasia The Musical,” starring your fellow students! You can see the play March 9, 10, and 11 in the Civic Auditorium. Try not to miss out on this one!
