Thursday, March 30, Lakewood High School’s very own film club held its most recent meeting. After the cancellation of last month’s movie, “Parasite,” the organization bounced back and got together this week to watch the hit movie “Interstellar”.
Film Club is an open group at Lakewood High School and students ranging in class and commitment levels are always welcome. If you were to walk into one of the meetings in Lecture Hall three you should expect nothing less than a diverse array of film buffs, students looking for something to do after school, and a row filled with only the best movie snacks around. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, the club is always open to new members and there is no sign-up needed!
This week’s film, “Interstellar”, is a classic Christopher Nolan production starring Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Timothee Chalamet, Matt Damon, and Michael Cain. Released in 2014, the film features unique and captivating graphics to tell a story about Earth’s last chance to find a habitable planet before a lack of resources causes a collapse of the human race.
If this sounds interesting to you and you missed this month’s movie, make sure you keep your eyes peeled for posters in the hallway and look for updates about our next meeting on the LHS news!
