LHS Final Choir Concert for the 2022-2023 School Year

On Monday, May 8, 2023, The Lakewood High School choirs had their final concert of the 2022-2023 school year. The concert consisted of all of the choirs in the high school from each grade and level of study.
Soprano/Alto Concert Choir sang I See The Light Arranged by Mac Huff and had solos from Olivia Brady, Averi Johnson, Rita Yost, and Samantha Perry, Camino Caminante by Stephen Hatfield, Orange Colored Sky arranged by Kirby Shaw, which also featured soloists Clementine Diamond‐Ortiz and Phoebe Crane; and then all of the altos and sopranos in the high school choir program combined to sing Hexenlied by Mendelssohn/Neal.
Men’s Chorus sang Cantate Domino by Laura Farnell, Star of Light by Laura Farnell, and Viva La Vida arranged by Jerry Estes and also featured soloists Owen Hill and Itazura Fuller, then all of the Tenors and Basses in the LHS choir program combined to sing Dies Irae by Z. Randall Stroope
Treble Choir sang Bonny Wood Green by Stephen Hatfield, Eu e Você by J. Edmund Hughes, Landslide by Fleetwood Mac arranged by E. Lojesk which featured soloists Alexis Lindsay and Stella Ziegler, and then they sang Day of Fire and Sun by Kate Crellin.
Symphonic Mixed Choir sang Daniel, Daniel Servant of the Lord by Undine Smith Moore and featured soloists Edie Barcelona and Jonas Evans, they also sang Hela Rotan by Ken Steven, Sunflower by Jacob Narverud and featured Jill King as a solo cellist, Water Fountain by Kristopher Fulton, and Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder and arranged by Paul Langford.
Chamber Choir sang Ecco Mormorar by Claudio Monteverdi, Lullaby arranged by M. Muglia, and Dedicated to the One I Love arranged by Audrey Snyder.
Vive L’Four sang Sunday Kind of Love arranged by Adam Reimnitz, and For the Longest Time arranged by Gentry, and invited Vive alumni to join them in singing Viva L’amour arranged by Parker and Shaw.
The Fourtes sang It’s My Party by Leslie Gore, Crabbuckit arranged by GQ, and were joined by Fourtes alumni to sing Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy arranged by Frank Metis.
After each ensemble performed, all of the choirs combined to sing The Times They Are A-Changin’ by Bob Dylan and arranged by Adam Podd and featured soloist Ursula Rosen and featured a quartet made up by Mason Ivinskas, Jacob Mariani, Anna Daso, and Emily Jareckie. Alumni were invited to the stage to join the choirs in singing the Alma Mater and The Lord Bless You and Keep You.
The concert also recognized all senior members of the choirs. The seniors combined to sing In My Life arranged by Steve Zegree and featured soloists Ava Bruening and Jamie Holland.
