Winters here in Lakewood, Ohio can get a little bit slippery, and some of our recent days off have been due to these icy conditions. However, there have been some days when some students have felt conditions were bad enough to warrant a day off but were not received, a sentiment often shared due to Lakewood’s status as a “walking district.” Making these conditions worse, many sidewalks often remain unplowed and unsalted. One key takeaway from this weather is the importance of salting your sidewalks! Signed: Someone who walks everywhere.
