Tuesday, February 25th:
Last night, the boys’ basketball team played against the North Ridgeville Rangers at home for their first playoff game. The Lakewood Rangers started the first half of the game off strong in the lead with great energy and pride dominating the North Ridgeville Rangers. However, by the second half of the game their energy fell, which ultimately cost them the win. The North Ridgeville Rangers took control of the court, with the final score being 51-62. Unfortunately, this loss marks the conclusion of their 2024-2025 season. Congratulations to the team for an incredible season full of setting records and amazing achievements, including winning conference to become the first ever Cleveland West Conference champions for boys basketball. Also, congratulations to all the seniors for everything they have contributed over the years as their journey with Lakewood Boys Basketball has come to an end.
“It was still great to play with my fellow seniors, even though it was our last game ever playing high school basketball,” Senior Mo Abuzahriyeh said.
