The girls’ tennis team had a long day of matches as they competed in the CWC tournament. After tough battles from all the ladies, the Rangers finished in third place. Senior Maya Trempe placed first overall in the third singles bracket and received the From the Sidelines’ “Who Put the Hustle in” award. The girls will be back in action next Monday, Sept. 22, as they travel to North Ridgeville to take on the Rangers.
Lakewood girls’ soccer had a fierce game in Rocky River last night, losing 5-0. Senior Gwendolyn Hongosh delivered an outstanding performance, making key saves and maintaining an unwavering attitude. Freshman Samantha Moran also competed with unmatched speed and technical abilities. The team will be back in action on Saturday at 10 a.m., taking on Holy Name at their home field. Good luck, ladies!
