Thursday, March 27th:
Last night, the softball team played at Bay Village High School for their first game of the season. It was a decisive win over Bay Village with a score of 12-1. Shout out to Ella Bower for her amazing pitching and the rest of the team for hitting strong. The girls play again tomorrow against Magnificat at home.
Along with softball, the girls’ lacrosse team also had a game last night. They traveled to Mentor High School to play against the Cardinals in a tough game. The Rangers put up their best fight against them, but unfortunately, they got in their heads and it wasn’t enough as the Cardinals won the game with a score of 18-3, two points from Senior Luella Darr and one from Maggie Barmann. The Cardinals had impressive stick skills and ball movement throughout the game, giving the Rangers a hard time when trying to get possession of the ball. Shoutout to Senior Helen Fraunfelder for being named Player of the Game after she amazingly played defensively and offensively for the Rangers. They’ll be back on the field again tomorrow at St. Vincent-St. Mary Catholic High School.
